Job Description : Workshop Manager- For Farm DRC Earthmoving Equipment at Farm: Dozer CAT D9, Dozer SEM, Grader SDLG, Compactor SDLG, 2 Loader Doosan, 1 Loader SDLG, 2 Volvo Excavator 35t No of Trucks Light Vehicle: 3 Pickup Mahindra, 3 Toyota Hilux, 3 Land Cruiser, Several Motorbikes Trucks, 5 Horses Howo Sino truck, 4 Tipper Trailer, 1 Lowbed, 1 Flatdeck, 5. 2 Tipper Howos Experience Required: At least 15 years experiences in general equipment maintenance. Experience in operations and mobilization of equipment from one site to the other would be helpful. Job Summary: Supporting the workshop manager on ensuring 100% uptime of all Moving and Non-moving Equipment in the farm. Diagnose and repair breakdown on Agriculture, and maintain preventative methods to reduce down time of machines in the fields on a Pro- active way Earthmoving Equipment, trucks, Light vehicle, Gen-sets and maintain preventative methods to reduce down time of machines in the fields on a Pro-active way Roles & Responsibilities: 100% uptime of all Moving and Non-moving Equipment at the Farm. Diagnosing and repairing the farm equipment. Managing Breakdowns on equipment deployed in the fields. Skills in mechanics and hydraulics to maintain various machines. Ensuring safe operation in workshop as well as housekeeping maintained up to standard. Develop local skills by working closely with local employees together. Organising the work schedule of a busy workshop. To implement suitable Health & Safety Systems within the workshop and its functions. Ensuring that all work/maintenance is recorded and carried out in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures. Schedule maintenance periods for all vehicle & mechanical equipment and maintain appropriate records. Preparation of Workshop budget of all spares and inventory and ensuring that the budget is not exceeded. Experiences in Mechanics with Main Focus on: Earthmoving & Agriculture Equipment, Trucks, Light Vehicles and other sub equipment. Ability of run diagnostics for trouble-shooting in electronics for the Farm equipment. Indicative Key Result Areas: Reducing downtime and increase on equipment availability. Putting preventative measures in place to avoid repetitive breakdown. Willingness to share knowledge and experiences with locals. Hands on working attitude. Ability to identify problems on Alternator, Starters etc Competencies / Personal Attributes: Knowledge of Mechanics Basic knowledge of Hydraulics & Electronics Ability of run diagnostics for trouble-shooting. Ability to understand electrical drawings Ability to identify problems on Alternator, Starters etc
