Construction Manager

Job Description : Construction Manager (Electrical) Gas based Combined Cycle Power Project, 330KV GIS substation. Location: Nigeria This position will be responsible for Construction, Coordination, planning and overseeing installation of Gas Turbine Generator, Steam Turbine Generator,330KV substation,132KV substation and its auxiliaries including CW system,HRSG along with its associated Electrical PEECC, GCB, GSUT, UAT, Aux Transformers,DC system, UPS system,330KV cables, MV/LV cables, Grid Earthing. Responsibilities: Expertise in Installation of Gas Turbine capacity of >200MW, 330KV GIS substation, MV/LV SWGR, GSUT,UAT, STG and its auxiliaries along with associated Electrical equipment's. Planning & time management. Hands-on experience of project execution & erection Commissioning. • In depth knowledge in 330KV GIS substation, GSUT, IPBD,GCB, UAT, MV/LV switchgear, NSPBD, Cable trays , Duct banks, CW system, HRSG, Fuel gas skids and rotating equipment. • Line Bays, ICT Bays, Bus section bay, Terminal connector (for SF6 to Air Bushing), Transformers, Control and Protection, Switchgears, Local Control Cabinet LCC. • Proven ability in Control & protection scheme, CT, VT, Surge arrestor, Cables, SCADA, Conductors, earthing, Plant Lighting, Road lightings,. • Familiar with erection techniques & methodologies. • Preparation/ review of method statements for all electrical power equipment • knowledge in cable schedule between equipments of GTG,STG,HRSG,330KV GIS substation. • Plan, execute, Mitigation and Proactive actions for on time deliverables. • Augmenting ( available ) resources, for a better and flawless execution. • Supporting construction phases of the project till handover the units to Commissioning., where little evaluation or ingenuity is normally required. • Ensure, all assigned task is carried out in compliance with quality and schedule. • Guide erection engineer, site engineer, Sub contractors supervisor(s) for a better coordination and safe erection of 330KV substation, cable laying, EHV cables, GSUT,UAT,MV/LV SWGR. • Preparation or review of method statements. • Encourage and provide lateral learning within the project Requirement: 1. Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering. 2. 22+ years experience in the power plant projects with specific experience in erection of Gas Turbine,330KV GIS substation, and its auxiliaries 3. Willingness to travel 4. Readiness to be at site based in Akwa Ibom, Nigeria. 5. Previous international experience is required. 6. Ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks. 7. Effective oral and written communications and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively with other discipline Lead(s) and Engineer. 8. Must be self-motivated, results oriented, and be flexible to work well under tight schedules in a fast paced multi-disciplinary team environment.
