Senior Operations Manager

Job Description : Sr Manager Mining Operations WEST AFRICA Requirement summary BE Mining or Mtech Mining with 15+ years of experience, with at least 3 years in a senior management role, leading mining operations. The candidate with experience in setting up and leading bauxite mining operations and/ Africa will be preferred. Must have a hard -core green field Bauxite mining project development expert with hands on experience on bulk cargo handlings and must be willing to operate from a remotely located project site with a single status to begin with. Project To produce some of the highest-grade bauxite in the world & over 1 billion tonnes of bauxite resources. Key Responsibilities: Lead mine development activities, including design and establishment of the mine, mine site infrastructure, internal logistics, stockpiles, waste dumps, etc. Lead operations team to successfully deliver company goals and targets. Strategic planning for short- and long-term production, quality, and other operational aspects for the achievement of production and profitability objectives. Review proposed mining plans, methods (surface miner and conventional open pit), equipment purchases, usage, etc. to continuously improve the operations. Managing capital and operational costs, risks, and relevant metrics. Implement best practices in mining to optimize efficiency and productivity. — Work closely with the executive team to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures. — Analysing, negotiating, and finalizing various contracts/agreements from a mining commercial point of view. — Lead QHSE compliance of the operations. — Coordinate the sustainability strategies of the operations. — Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, and regulatory bodies.
