Job Description : PHARMA ENGINEERING DIRECTOR AUSTRALIA Open to International candidates The Engineering Director is directly responsible for leading the Engineering and Maintenance teams in the successful design, construction, and commissioning of facility systems, as well as all process and laboratory equipment. Direction and leadership to the Engineering group is crucial in the execution of all Engineering related activities carried out on-site, including but not limited to automation, capital projects, critical utilities, equipment commissioning and validation. Develop strategy and lead the implementation of systems and processes that will enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Lakewood operations, and participate as a member of the Senior Management Team in developing site strategies and policies, and represent Renaissance at the Director level with customers and regulatory agencies. Directly responsible for the management and development of staff for the following teams: Facilities and Process Maintenance, Process Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Equipment Validation. Mentor and coach team members, facilitating and assisting in their development and growth within Renaissance. Directly responsible for the management of external professional Engineering and other firms as part of the execution of equipment, facility or utility modification, upgrade, or expansion projects. Lead and support activities and functions necessary to ensure successful completion of Engineering projects within set timelines and budgetary constraints. Ensure all facility systems, utilities and equipment are properly maintained to ensure efficient utilization and execution of daily laboratory and manufacturing activities. Accountable for Engineering and Site Capital Project budgets. Motivate, recruit and develop key employees. Build and sustain employee engagement by creating a culture of efficient execution and an environment in which individuals and teams can excel and continuously improve. Lead the development, updating and execution of the Site Master Plan and other long-term Engineering and Capital Project plans. Ensure that all work carried out and equipment installed has been done safely, effectively and in compliance with the appropriate industry standards. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including GMP, OSHA, FDA, and EPA. Direct and coordinate activities that support the timely and efficient repair and maintenance of all process equipment and facility systems. Ensure through efficient design and maintenance that all equipment and facilities comply with all current local, state, and federal regulatory codes and requirements. Within area of responsibility, understand and comply with all Renaissance safety, environmental and quality practices and procedures as outlined in organizational/departmental guidelines and SOPs as well as applicable federal, state and local regulations.
