Job Description : Head of Department Extrusion Blow Molding CANBERRA AUSTRALIA Role is open to International candidates Job Description: 1. To Manage Manufacturing Operations to deliver high Quality Products according to Production Planning and with utmost Efficiency and Budget 2. Develop Quality plans with cost/quality objectives that continue to drive operational improvements. Requirements: Graduate Engineer in Plastic / Production Engineering or relevant. Minimum 10 years of experience in Extrusion Blow Molding Machines, Injection Molding Machine and related Machines and Utility Strong Communication skills (French speaking will be additional advantage) Job Responsibilities: 1. Provide Technical Expertise and Resources, Cooperating and Coordinating with Production, Engineering and Technical Services. 2. Responsible for the Formulation of long and short range planning for Functional Area 3. Responsible for Development of the Organization’s Annual Operating Budget and Maintain Expenses within the plan. 4. Committed to Employee Feedback and Developmental Processes. 5. Interfaces with support functions to secure services and resources. 6. Regularly interacts with Management and Executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas and divisions. 7. Interfaces with the other manufacturing operations management staff/ internal customers to ensure our quality commitments are met. 8. Responsible for ensuring the quality and quantity of work produced, staff requirements, budgets, costs, methods, performance standards. 9. Maintain clean and safe work area. 10. Learn, understand, and apply rigorous quality standards, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and current good manufacturing practices (cGMP). Personnel: Lead staff to accomplish activities in an efficient and safe manner by: 1. Providing definition of job duties. 2. Providing training opportunities for staff. 3. Conducting performance evaluations. 4. Defining criteria for personnel evaluations. 5. Administer coaching / counseling as required in a timely manner. 6. Enforce personnel policies and procedures; complete and submit all associated paperwork in a timely manner. 7. Maintain safe working conditions with a goal of zero recordable accidents and zero lost time accidents. 8. Control employee overtime hours Safety Competency: 1. Safety leadership- embodies commitment for a safe workplace; acts as a role model on safety leadership, activities and communication. 2. Communication- ability to communicate safety, goals, and company expectations with appropriate levels of the organization; create clear, timely audience appropriate messages (both written and verbal) 3. Engagement- communicate and support the vision of plant leadership; celebrate the wins, and ensure employees actively participate in a safety-related activities. 4. Team Development- understand the development needs of employees in your organization; drive the culture of employees as safety leaders.
