General Manager Operations

Job Description : GM Operations-Technical OMAN Industry: Rigid Packaging (Plastic Manufacturing) Experience: 18+ Education: B.E / B.Tech in Plastics Engineering Key Responsibilities: Operational Leadership: Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the plant, ensuring alignment with company goals. Optimize production scheduling, resource allocation, and labor management. Process Optimization: Implement Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity. Quality Control: Ensure strict adherence to product quality standards and manage quality assurance processes to deliver consistent, high-quality products. Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop plant staff. Drive a culture of high performance, safety, and continuous improvement. Conduct performance evaluations and manage talent development. Cost Management: Develop and manage the plant budget, controlling costs while optimizing resource utilization. Identify and implement cost-reduction initiatives. Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with industry standards, environmental regulations, and workplace safety protocols. Lead safety programs and initiatives. Customer & Supply Chain Management: Collaborate with the sales, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and meet customer specifications. Oversee inventory management and raw material procurement. Educational Background: B.E / B.Tech in Plastics Engineering, Polymer Science, or a related technical field. Experience: 18+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, specifically in rigid plastic packaging (e.g., injection molding, blow molding, extrusion). Proven track record in leading large-scale manufacturing operations and managing cross-functional teams. Skills & Expertise: Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes in the rigid plastic packaging industry. Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies. Strong understanding of quality control, cost management, and production optimization. Leadership skills with the ability to drive team performance and develop talent. Familiarity with industry certifications (ISO, OSHA, GMP etc.) and regulatory compliance.
