Job Description : HEAD OF SECURITY FOR AUTO COMPANY SWAZILAND Key Responsibilities for the Head of Security Security Strategy & Leadership: Develop, implement, and manage the company's overall security strategy across global operations. Lead and supervise the corporate security team to ensure efficient and effective security operations. Provide strategic direction and oversight on all aspects of security, including physical security, cybersecurity, and crisis management. Risk Management & Threat Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential security threats, vulnerabilities, and risks. Work with key stakeholders to develop and implement mitigation strategies to address identified security risks. Stay informed about emerging security threats in the automotive industry and global security landscape. Cybersecurity Integration: Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to ensure a seamless integration of physical and cybersecurity measures. Oversee the protection of sensitive data, intellectual property, and proprietary automotive technologies. Manage security infrastructure and technologies to prevent and respond to cyber threats. Crisis Management & Emergency Response: Develop and lead crisis response strategies and disaster recovery plans for various security scenarios, including natural disasters, active threats, and cyberattacks. Conduct regular training exercises, drills, and simulations to ensure preparedness in handling crises. Employee & Facility Safety: Ensure the safety and security of employees, contractors, and visitors across all company facilities, including manufacturing plants, research and development centers, and corporate offices. Manage the security of high-profile executives and ensure their protection both on-site and during travel. Compliance & Regulatory Oversight: Ensure compliance with local, national, and international security regulations, standards, and industry best practices. Oversee the security protocols for compliance with data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and ensure the company is meeting required security standards. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with legal, IT, HR, and executive teams to ensure alignment of security practices with organizational goals. Serve as the primary point of contact for all internal and external security-related communications. Vendor & Third-Party Management: Oversee relationships with security vendors, contractors, and consultants to ensure effective delivery of security services. Ensure third-party partners comply with company security policies and standards. Qualifications:Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Information Security, or related field (Master's preferred). 10+ years of experience in corporate security, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Experience in the automotive industry or similar high-tech, high-security environment is highly desirable. Proven track record of managing global security operations and teams. Strong background in both physical security and cybersecurity practices. Experience with crisis management, risk assessments, and emergency response. Skills & Competencies: Strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization. Extensive knowledge of security technologies and systems (e.g., CCTV, access control, alarm systems, cybersecurity tools). Deep understanding of legal and regulatory requirements related to security, data protection, and privacy. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex security issues to non-experts. Ability to think strategically, anticipate security threats, and provide solutions in a proactive manner. Strong decision-making skills under pressure, with a calm and composed demeanor in crisis situations. In-depth knowledge of industry best practices and emerging security. Degree/Diploma qualification in Security Risk Management, with focus on Business Management 10 years minimum experience in the Security industry of which 5 years should be in a management role. Comprehensive security experience in various security areas e.g. crisis management, investigations, operational security, international security exposure, etc. Experience with security auditing, security risk management, as well as contract and vendor negotiation. Capable of Managing, Advising, Guiding and Leading a security team Management and Leadership skills Negotiation and communication skills Presentation skills Decision making and good judgement skills Computer literacy Language - English. Basic Business German Speak and Read will be an advantage. Able to communicate security-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff Ability to operate effectively at all levels of the organisation.
