Job Description : HEAD SALES UAE FOR BATTERIES Core Responsibility The incumbent will set up the Battery Industry business and work on market expansion in terms of penetration and number of clients acquired. Sales Strategy Managing Full P&L responsibility for the financial stability of the business. Convert the organization targets into top line/revenue targets. Define revenue goals and establish each quarter in line with the business plan by selling project solutions to customers. Strategically develop the market by identifying key programs / projects and Participate / Contribute to professional association within the market and work closely with Consultants operating in the ecosystem. Provide, achieve and maintain meaningful sales forecasts on a monthly basis. Hands on demonstrations and presentations of organisation’s product offerings. Synchronize, explore and assess additional channels in order to maximize revenue. Ensure achievement of target sales from various corporates for the financial year. Monitor contributions from various corporates, analyse data and evolve strategies/activities/initiatives to get increased business from the corporate sector. Building his team incorporating sales and marketing professionals with the relevant skill-sets to drive goals. Assist in Business development efforts in meeting new contacts or leveraging the existing network of corporates. Identifying key sources of business and translation/allocation of targets to the sources i.e. referrals, Corporate sales, Direct marketing (sales focus). Ensuring strategy balances sales and product focus. Managing profitability of the unit by ensuring marketing spends are commensurate with the turnover achieved. Developing organizational competence in various domains and continual assessment of performance of team members. Marketing Strategy Working on the Product Mix, Pricing management, Positioning, Segmentation, Go-to- Market strategy, Portfolio Plan, Product Sales Tools, Competition Analysis, Competition bench-marking and Market Research. Conceptualizing new initiatives for increasing sales and top of mind recall amongst potential customers. Arrive at a sales and marketing strategy (portfolio penetration, segment penetration) by firming up the key specialties to focus on for the year (product focus). Analysis of market trends and competitive benchmarking of own offerings. Evolve strategies to ensure that the client is top of mind recall with respect to corporates and implement the same-through the corporate sales team. Ensure a process is in place to track market information, competitor activities and the other companies that various corporates are going to. Explore and implement co-branding options to increase corporate customers. Develop and implement market creation activities such as promotion, demand generation etc. to build brand awareness and share gain from competition Build awareness of the brand hat include seminars and exhibitions, participation in customer events, workshops, user forums, referrals and other such specific activities. Using Digital Marketing tools – Ecommerce plans, Social Media campaigns, SEO and SEM plans to promote the brand. Working on an Integrated Marketing communication Plan with PR and Lead generation programs. Candidate Profile: Qualification & Experience Qualification: BE (Chemical) with an MBA (Finance) ideally from a reputed institute. Years of experience: 5 – 10 years. Technical Competencies Sector expertise: Must have exposure to working with firms manufacturing Batteries/ heavy manufacturing. P/L responsibility. Proven results in distribution, market expansion and market penetration. Ability to read financial statements and prepare the business budget accordingly. Ability to leverage on existing relationships to drive sales. Affinity with technical products and technical understanding. Experience of on-boarding large key accounts for the firm and mining these relationships. Business acumen. Strong understanding of supply chain systems and processes i.e. inventory, warehouse and procurement. Behavioral Competencies Demonstrated experience managing and collaborating with multiple teams, coordinating across different cross-functional initiatives, and reaching consensus with diverse stakeholders. Experience of managing cross functional teams. Excellent judgement and independent decision-making ability. Strong organization, attention to detail, time management, planning skills and the ability to handle multiple competing priorities. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to multiple levels of management, both written and verbal. Building partnerships and relationships. Team building and team management skills. Strong negotiation skills.
