Job Description : CFO INDIA Role Purpose : - To control, monitor, and report financial and tax affairs of the India assets, businesses, and country Office(s). - To represent Organization general and financial interests on the Boards of companies to which appointed. Responsibilities include: - Financial and business control of assets in scope with specific emphasis on accurate financial and management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management. - Financial performance of assets in scope with specific emphasis on profitability, cost control, investment and cash management. - Adherence to financial, procurement & corporate governance policies and procedures established within Group standards. - Implementation and management of Internal control policies. - - Monitor changes to accounting and taxation law and regulation within India in conjunction with Global tax team. - Ensure accounting, tax and regulatory compliance for all India entities in accordance with central and state laws, and assess impact on businesses. - Manage the administration of business insurance and any associated activity in coordination with BU Insurance Management. - Provide support & advice as required to the business development function - Be accountable for and provide expertise for all finance operations in India. - Explore synergies in finance operation within all India offices and assets. - Promote experience and best practices sharing within all India assets. - Take lead in ensuring adequate resources in terms of systems, personnel and training for all Group financial operations within India. Qualifications / Experience : - Internationally recognized Accounting Qualification (preferred); consideration also given to other relevant qualifications such as CFA / MBA or similar where relevant CFO experience can be demonstrated. - Significant (15+ yrs) experience in managing complex financial operations, reporting and proven track record in managing compliance with complex financing and project agreements. - Relevant and recent experience in managing and leading diverse teams with multiple cross-functional linkages; international experience is required, and Indian preferred. Specific Knowledge / skills : - IFRS and local GAAP - Cash flow management. - Taxation. - Budgeting, Forecasting. - Financial Accounting / IT Systems. - Understanding of complex project agreements (PPA, FSA, SHA etc.)- - Understanding of Corporate Governance requirements. Business Understanding : - Working in multi shareholder situations within the framework of a Shareholder's Agreement(s). - Good knowledge of managing lender requirements, including covenant compliance, within a Project Finance framework. - Ability to learn and quickly adapt to local business, government and legal norms and culture; ability to operate and integrate into large multinational corporate environment.
