Operations Manager

Job Description : Operations Manager- Mining Engineering & Supplies We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to oversee our mining engineering and supplies operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient and effective operational processes, managing resources, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Manage daily operations of the mining engineering and supplies division. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards. Oversee the planning and execution of mining projects. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and operational staff. Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Resource Management: Optimize the use of equipment, materials, and labor resources. Manage supply chain logistics to ensure timely delivery of supplies and services. Budgeting and Financial Management: Develop and manage operational budgets. Monitor expenditures and implement cost-saving measures. Process Improvement: Identify areas for process enhancement and implement best practices. Analyze operational performance metrics and develop strategies for improvement. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth operations. Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on operational performance. Risk Management: Assess operational risks and develop mitigation strategies. Implement health and safety protocols to minimize risks to personnel and equipment. Candidate Profile: · Bachelors degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field. · Proven experience in operations management within the mining or related industry. · Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams. · Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. · Familiarity with mining operations, supply chain management, and project management. Preferred Qualifications: · Master’s degree in a relevant field. · Professional certifications in project management or mining engineering. · Experience with sustainability practices in mining operations. Skills: · Strong analytical and organizational skills. · Proficient in relevant software and technology used in mining and operations. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. · Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
