Job Description : MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING HEAD OMAN 20+ years experience The Engineering Head (Mechanical and Electrical) is a technical expert in mechanical and electrical systems. He/She represents the organisation in working with stakeholders to implement systems-related strategies. He/She translates established industry standards into department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). He/She has a deep understanding of the leading engineering and operational best practices, industry developments and regulatory requirements. He/She is a strong leader and is able to foster continuous improvement. He/She demonstrates excellent management skills to achieve the department's goals and objectives. Approve vendors based on allocated budgets. Create manpower planning strategy. Create strategies to equip staff with skills required by industry or engineering standards. Drive maintenance systems and enhanced engineering standards. Encourage continuous improvements, focusing on service reliability. Establish budget for the department. Foster awareness of the Rapid Transit System (RTS) Codes of Practice. Lead a culture of workplace safety. Lead cross-disciplinary engineering studies to enhance maintenance and engineering standards. Plan strategies for failure management to hasten mechanical and electrical systems fault recovery. Translate established standards to department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Work with stakeholders to use new technologies to enhance maintenance processes.
