Job Description : CONTROLLER SEA OUT OF MALAYSIA Reporting Manager: Global Controller with a dotted line into CFO International Responsibilities: Financial Reporting focus in SEA & China Region Drive timely and quality financial reporting across entities in the region Ensure periodic B/S reviews & account reconciliation and hygiene of the B/S Alignment of CoA - between ERP and FCCS Harmonization of COA across business units Continuous reconciliation of local to consol books Return to Tax reco and control on all tax assets and liabilities Focused controllership initiatives Ensure policy compliance through communication and periodic review eg. Revenue recognition, AR provisioning, inventory write-off etc. GRC SOC Conflict resolution Continuous ABAC process Ensure treasury controllership and banking governance in the region M&A - support and drive integration as per WEL policies Catalyst and driver for Simplification & automation projects Simplification initiatives engaging with business/finance/IT teams to deliver the desired outcome. Support business by leveraging shared services in the processes of B2P, O2C and R2R Leverage FCCS and EPRCS for local financials preparation and audit Stat audit consolidation Drive stat audit consolidation exercise across the entities in the region Leverage central record-to-report function for audit consolidation Enhance Shared Services penetration by identifying areas to standardize processes, increase coverage and build depth/expertise. Support on M&A projects including diligence and integration Engage with business to in identifying projects/initiatives to enhance controllership environment. Project manage the initiatives to achieving the stated outcome. Requirement: Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant with +7 years of experience Understand the implications of corporate laws, tax laws on accounting and consolidation is essential. Experience in and knowledge of various IT applications/tools/platforms Experience in consolidation controllership, finalisation and M&A accounting concepts would be an advantage Proficiency in MS Office applications and other software applications/tools Good understanding of Ind AS/IFRS. Experience in managing statutory and tax audits Working knowledge of SAP/ERP and Hyperion would be an advantage
