Job Description : Head- Strategic Sourcing (Chief Commercial Officer) MUMBAI INDIA 25-30 years experience Job Description: Strategic: - Design, build & execute global commodity pricing & sourcing strategy. Ensure proper implementation of global commodity sourcing strategies to support tendering, contracts management, pricing, spend analytics and supplier performance management. - Involved in finalizing the logistics contract including 3PL warehousing distribution services of the group; propose and formulate strategy and policies for efficient functioning and management of logistics globally- Contracting for logistics services - CHA's, Freight Forwarders for imports/Exports. - Design effective reverse logistics and monitor and track any deviations from the approved budget. - Displays comfort ability with figures and in collecting, analyzing and interpreting data. Market Intelligence: - Demonstrates knowledge of exports, imports, taxation, trade compliance/legal, vendor management/development, international contract management, Illustrates experience in buying from indigenous and global markets. - Understand and forecast the trends on global commodity pricing and services and leverage the information during negotiation, re-negotiation and termination of contracts. - Explore alternate for the products in consultation with respective BU's ensuring operational efficiency and cost reduction. - Develop in-depth analysis and categorization of spends and lead procurement to maximize procurement savings. Business Acumen: - Accountable for sourcing of Dyes & Chemicals, Packaging, Spares & Consumables, Capex/Opex, Labour Contracts and Warehousing Infrastructure (WMS) including Logistics (Import & Export), Admin & Facility Management, Marketing, Media. - Management, Promotion, Publicity, Digital, Visual Merchandise, Legal and Professional Services including AMC's & ARC's globally. Drive continuous improvement, best value and quality improvements within the team and business units in challenging existing practices. - Actively seek ways to achieve better outcomes, contributing to ensure key performance and financial targets are met and corrective action taken where necessary. Design and executes the Make Vs. Buy decisions for fabric & Apparel business. Managing expansions from a wide network of vendors located globally. Functional Excellence: - Effectiveness over contracting, TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) and supplier selection. Leverage resources across all boundaries to support business goals, bringing all expertise necessary to address challenges to safeguard against contractual and commercial risk. Workout the space requirement and capex requirement based on volume throught put. - Negotiate with the landlords/developers for better/competitive pricing. Finalizing the Design and layout of the DC- Develop process improvement strategies in packing specifications listing and testing. Re-engineering of products and packaging enabling cost efficiency. Formulate and execute global pricing strategies that balance profitability and market competitiveness. Optimize pricing across different categories and geographies. - Governance/Compliance- Establish and maintain a centralized procurement function for the group towards direct and indirect materials with an aim to lower TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), adherence to compliance & governance globally. - Manage and coordiante end-to-end purchase cycle of requirements generated from different geographies/departments ensuring smooth business operations. Contributing to S&OP process with effective collobartion with Integrated Planning, SCM, Sales and Finance teams. Develop a robust vendor performance and relationship management strategy by building scorecards / dashboards that analyze vendor performance, strengths and risks. - Financial Analysis, Use Data Anallytics to make informed commercial decisions. Analyse the business profitability & identify avenues to add to it. Evaluate the financial ROI of the investments in the entire SCM value chain. - Tools/Tech- Identify right partners for IT technology (S4 Hana, D365, PLM, TMS) implementation. Engage business and department members in the transformation using: RFI (Request for Information), RFP (Request for Proposal), RFQ (Request for Quotation) People Leadership: - Develop and nurture relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure cost benefit, quality improvement, timely delivery, vendor performance, contract negotiation and other SLA metrics. - Create and manage supplier partnership initiatives that enhance vendor capability (superior quality supply and reduction in TCO) in line with Global standards such as Vendor Support & Development cell. - Train & nurture team members by sharing constructive feedback with an aim to improve performance and career develop.
