Head of Stock Taking 

Job Description : Stock Take Head of Department (HOD) Location: DR Congo, Africa Job Summary The Stock Take HOD will oversee and manage all aspects of stock audits, inventory accuracy, and reconciliation processes across all retail outlets and warehouses. This role requires ensuring that inventory records are precise and aligned with actual physical counts, identifying discrepancies, and implementing corrective measures to minimize losses and optimize inventory control. Key Responsibilities ?- Plan, schedule, and execute periodic stock takes across all retail stores and warehouses. ?- Ensure all stock counts are conducted accurately and in compliance with company policies. ?- Coordinate with store managers and staff to facilitate smooth stock-taking processes. ?- Identify discrepancies between system records and physical counts, investigate reasons, and resolve issues. ?- Monitor inventory shrinkage, damages, and expired stock, and recommend preventive measures. ?- Ensure timely reconciliation of stock records in the ERP/SAP system. ?- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for stock-taking processes. ?- Train and mentor staff on best practices in inventory management and loss prevention. ?- Introduce automation or tools to streamline the stock audit process. ?- Generate and present detailed stock reports, including variances, trends, and actionable insights. ?- Work closely with finance, procurement, and operations teams to address stock-related discrepancies. ?- Provide recommendations to improve inventory accuracy and operational efficiency. ?- Ensure adherence to legal and organizational inventory management regulations. ?- Conduct risk assessments and enforce measures to mitigate inventory-related risks. ?- Lead a team of stock auditors and inventory controllers, providing guidance and performance feedback. ?- Liaise with cross-functional teams to address stock-related concerns and ensure alignment with business goals. Key Requirements Qualifications: ?- Masters/Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, orrelated field. Experience: ?- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in inventory management, stock auditing, or a related role, preferably in the retail industry. ?- Prior leadership experience managing stock audits or inventory control teams.
