Job Description : HEMM WORKSHOP MANAGER ZAMBIA HEMM Workshop Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair of Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM) in Ndola, Zambia. This role involves coordinating routine and emergency repairs on critical machinery to ensure optimal availability for mining operations. Key responsibilities include managing maintenance schedules, enforcing safety standards, and utilizing preventive maintenance software to support continuous operations. Plan and manage maintenance schedules for mining equipment, including Excavators, Dozers, Loaders, Graders, Drills, and Dump Trucks. Oversee troubleshooting and emergency repairs on fuel, brake, electrical, and transmission systems for HEMM. Ensure high maintenance standards, cost efficiency, and compliance with safety practices. Perform risk and environmental impact assessments, including OEM recommendations. Compile job specs, supervise maintenance activities, and track equipment history in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Participate in project reviews to provide technical inputs and develop recovery plans when necessary. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 15-20 years of experience in Heavy Earth Moving Machinery repair and maintenance. At least 5 years of experience in a mining environment, preferably in open cast mining. Proficiency with preventive maintenance software, especially SAP. Strong leadership and communication skills,
