Senior Accountant

Job Description : Project Sr. Accountant NIGERIA Responsibilities: · Budgeting and Forecasting · Tracking of Actuals with Budgets and providing regular forecast. · Assists in developing the Capex for prompt management approval. · Cost Control- · Monitoring project costs and identifying areas where costs can be reduced or controlled. · This may involve analysing variances between actual and budgeted costs and implementing corrective actions as needed. · Financial Reporting: · Preparing and presenting financial reports related to project performance. · This will include data for Budget Vs Actuals, Advances analysis, MRR Tracking, as well as project-specific reports for stakeholders. · Billing and Invoicing: · Assisting in timely IAF processing. · Ensuring that invoices are accurate and submitted in a timely manner to maintain positive cash flow for the project. · Contract Management: · Commercial review contracts and ensuring Milestones invoicing is received on time and payment telexes sent and that financial terms and conditions are understood and adhered to. · This may involve working closely with project managers and legal · Compliance: Ensuring compliance with DOA & company policies. · Communication& Collaboration: · Seamless communication & collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between financial objectives and project goals. · This will involve participating in project meetings, providing financial guidance, and coordinating with other departments as needed. Functional Skills: · IFRS/Ind AS Knowledge · ERP Knowledge · Preferred Experience in Petrochemicals / Refinery / Fertilizers / Cement / Smelting / Steel / Chemicals · P2P, R2R and O2C · Cashflow Management Qualification: · CA Inter/CMA Inter/M. Com/MBA in Finance · 10 - 15 years of experience
