Job Description : STRATEGIC PROJECT MANAGER CERES Strategic Project Manager to lead and deliver medium to large-scale technical projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, including construction, building manufacturing facilities, and assisting operations teams in automation projects. The successful candidate will have the chance to develop working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels, ensuring that management is kept informed of all project activities. This role requires a professional who can oversee the progress of all involved contractors, take the lead on projects, and ensure general coordination to deliver projects within scope and budget. * Lead and deliver medium to large-scale technical projects * Develop working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels * Ensure projects are delivered within scope and budget What you'll do: As a Strategic Project Manager, your role will be pivotal in leading and delivering medium to large-scale technical projects. You will be responsible for examining, coordinating, and exploring these projects while determining their objectives and scope in collaboration with internal customers. Your ability to translate these details into comprehensive project plans will be crucial as you lead your team from implementation through to production. You'll also be tasked with developing budgets, managing resource allocations, identifying stakeholders, selecting contractors based on project requirements, ensuring contractual agreements are in place, consulting with internal teams, achieving project deliverables within set timelines and budgets, and executing risk management & communication plans. * Examine, coordinate, and explore technical, medium scale & large-scale projects * Determine the objectives and scope of the projects together with internal customers * Translate these details into project plans and lead the project team from implementation to transfer to production * Develop budget and manage resource allocations * Identify both internal and external stakeholders * Select the contractor to execute the project according to the technicalities involved * Ensure that there are signed contracts between all key stakeholders/contractors involved * Consult with the internal Engineering and Operations teams * Achieve project deliverable, while managing timelines and budget * Execute a risk management & communication plan What you bring: The ideal candidate for this Strategic Project Manager position will bring a wealth of experience in managing medium to large-scale technical projects. With a BCom Honours degree in Project Management/Engineering or a relevant field, you will have a solid understanding of how to manage relationships between stakeholders and manage changes.Your ability to identify various methods of saving cost but maximizing resources will be crucial in this role. You will also bring your quantitative risk analysis skillsand your experience in project management within an automated production environment, preferably in the food industry. Your demonstrated ability to create a culture of accountability and teamwork will be highly valued, as will any knowledge or experience with building code, environmental policies, and OHS regulations. *BCom Honoursin Project Management/Engineeringor relevant degree with an engineering background * Understanding of how to manage relationships between stakeholders and manage changes * Ability to identify various methods of saving cost but maximizing resources * Quantitative risk analysis skills * 25+ Years in project managementin an automated production environment preferably in the food industry with an Engineering background * Experience in important investment projects as a project manager * Demonstrated ability to create a culture of accountability and teamwork * Knowledge of or experience with building code, environmental policies and OHS regulations
