Job Description : Vice President Marketing Retail & Foods Distributor Package $400,000 ++ NET *This role has been written with purpose by the leadership team of Eaton SAKS International along with Lee Hutchinson with our client's consent. The mandate is direct, detailed and is in line with the vision and creativity of the group's future and immediate needs. This role mandate is for seasoned executives who possess the knowledge, attributes and possess the past achievements to deliver key results. This is by no means a step-up role or aspirational hire! The group is a leading retail grocery and foods business who operate also across investments, e-commerce, and hospitality committed to delivering high-quality products, innovative customer experiences, and cutting-edge solutions in a rapidly evolving market. We are seeking a visionary VP Marketing with a proven track record in digital transformation, data-driven decision-making, and omnichannel marketing to lead our marketing efforts into the future. As a key executive leader, the VP will spearhead strategies that integrate traditional marketing with digital innovation, elevating our brand while driving customer engagement and revenue growth. Driving the firm's brand, reputation, growing their vision and identity across all sectors and industries they serve and operate. Key Responsibilities: Digital Marketing and Transformation Develop and execute a robust digital marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business goals. Drive the company’s digital transformation by integrating advanced technologies such as AI, machine learning, and automation to enhance marketing efforts. Lead e-commerce growth initiatives, optimizing the online shopping experience to increase traffic, conversions, and customer loyalty. Oversee the development and execution of digital campaigns across platforms, including social media, search engine marketing (SEM), programmatic advertising, and email marketing. Data-Driven Marketing Leverage data analytics and customer insights to craft personalized marketing strategies that resonate with target audiences. Build and manage a centralized customer data platform (CDP) to create unified customer profiles and actionable insights. Utilize predictive analytics and performance metrics to continuously optimize campaign effectiveness and ROI. Omnichannel Integration Design and implement an omnichannel marketing strategy that delivers a seamless customer experience across digital, in-store, and mobile platforms. Collaborate with IT and operations teams to enhance the integration of physical and digital shopping experiences, including click-and-collect, delivery, and mobile app functionality. Champion the use of digital tools to enhance loyalty programs, rewards systems, and customer retention initiatives. Strategic Marketing Leadership Define and execute a comprehensive marketing vision that supports long-term brand growth and market leadership. Identify and capitalize on emerging digital trends and technologies to maintain a competitive edge. Foster innovation within the marketing team, encouraging the exploration of new digital platforms and content formats. Team Leadership and Collaboration Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse and high-performing marketing team with a strong emphasis on digital expertise. Promote collaboration across departments, ensuring alignment of digital marketing efforts with sales, IT, and product teams. Build relationships with key technology and agency partners to support the company’s digital marketing goals. Brand Growth and Public Relations Oversee the creation of digital-first branding strategies that communicate the company’s value proposition effectively. Enhance the company’s reputation and reach through innovative storytelling, influencer partnerships, and PR strategies. Monitor brand sentiment across digital platforms and respond proactively to customer feedback. Qualifications Proven success in senior marketing roles with a focus on digital transformation and omnichannel retail strategies, preferably in the grocery, retail, or consumer goods sectors. Expertise in digital marketing tools, platforms, and analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Experience Manager). Strong understanding of SEO, SEM, paid media, programmatic advertising, and content marketing. Experience leading e-commerce initiatives and improving digital customer acquisition. Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate complex analytics into actionable strategies. Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree highly preferred.
