Taxation Manager

Job Description : Taxation role for our fertilizer plant in PHC,Nigeria. Core Responsibilities · To ensure 100% compliance accuracy and timeliness in filing tax returns as per local, state, and federal regulations. · To stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations and implement necessary adjustments to ensure compliance. · To develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the organization's tax position. · To provide proactive advice on potential tax risks and opportunities. · Prepare various representations for submission to the Department · Analyze impact of the Act/Law in our business · To conduct financial analysis to assess the tax implications of business decisions. · To collaborate with finance and accounting teams to integrate tax considerations into financial planning. · To prepare and review tax provisions and financial statements. · To ensure accurate and transparent tax reporting in accordance with accounting principles. · To work closely with internal and external clients to understand their tax-related needs and provide strategic solutions. · To serve as a subject matter expert on taxation matters during client engagements. · To collaborate with auditors during tax audits to provide documentation and explanations as needed. · To address and resolve tax-related audit issues. · To stay informed about industry trends, changes in tax laws, and best practices. · To participate in professional development opportunities to enhance tax expertise. Experience: Minimum 8+ years of experience post Chartered Accountancy qualification
