Job Description : Plant Head - Stainless Steel Location: Dubai & Abu Dhabi Department: Operations Reports To: Director of Operations Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Head - Stainless Steel to oversee the production and operational management of our stainless steel recycling plant. The ideal candidate will lead a team of professionals, ensuring the plant operates efficiently, meets quality standards, and achieves production goals. Key Responsibilities: 1. Plant Operations: o Oversee all aspects of stainless steel recycling operations, including melting, refining, and casting processes. o Ensure adherence to production schedules and optimize operational efficiency. 2. Quality Control: o Maintain high standards of product quality and ensure compliance with industry and environmental standards. o Develop and implement quality assurance programs. 3. Team Management: o Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of safety and innovation. o Ensure adequate training and development for staff to meet operational goals. 4. Process Improvement: o Identify opportunities for process improvement to reduce waste and improve productivity. o Implement Lean and Six Sigma practices as applicable. 5. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): o Ensure the plant complies with all HSE regulations and practices. o Promote a culture of safety and sustainability. 6. Budget Management: o Prepare and manage the plant's operational budget, ensuring cost control and resource optimization. o Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to achieve financial goals. Qualifications: · Bachelor's/Master's degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. · 10+ years of experience in stainless steel recycling or related industries, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. · Strong understanding of stainless steel recycling processes and industry best practices. · Proven track record in operational excellence and people management. · Knowledge of ERP systems and production software is an advantage.
