Job Description : DIRECTOR FINANCE OPERATIONS MEA What you will do The Director, Finance Operations is a key role reporting to the VP Finance of Middle East and Africa region, based in Dubai and lead financial strategic and profit planning process for assigned business area, drive business results, optimize planned EBIT and TWC by preparing economic, financial reports and analysis, set finance strategy in line with business needs and recommend best practices to strive for continuous improvement, generate financial reports both internal and external, support business to make decision by advising and engaging with the leadership team on all finance related matters. You will drive initiatives to improve and enhance the quality of finance policies, procedures and liaise with peers and finance centres of excellence. Lead the team of finance managers, financial analysts, credit and collections, and own finance operational excellence when translating business strategies and decisions into effective and compliant execution of finance policies and processes, fosters and promote a climate of execution discipline. You will work within a vibrant environment that will provide a platform for you to use your leadership experience coupled with your technical knowledge of overall finance within Middle East & Africa region. How you will do it As Director, Finance Operations you will provide financial input and collaborate with business, support other business unites in the deployment of strategic business transformations and simplification programs to optimize current business and Finance processes and tools. You will be a focal point of contact to executive management, in-country finance organization, Share Service Centre and the Centre of Excellence related to the implementation and coordination of global finance initiatives. Translate business requirements into finance strategies and plans in close liaise with other regional finance, the corporate and finance strategy framework, other responsibilities includes; Lead communication effort of finance initiatives and procedures, track compliance and defines corrective actions. Keep abreast with Corporate and Regional Finance projects and initiatives. Provide financial reports, metrics and analysis to the leadership team to support of business decisions and operational reviews Lead financial planning and forecasting, prepare profit and asset plan in co-ordination with the management team and compliance specifications in order contribute to a profitable business. Advice on short term and long term working capital improvement, regularly interact with counterparts and executive management of Global LOB Perform business analysis and reviews, initiate process optimization to reduce cost and improve business profits. Ensure effective implementation of the strategies and promotes a sound financial controlling environment Develop and ensure high performing finance team, maximize performance through quality staffing, performance management, coaching, development and succession planning. Bring out the best in each team member and produce future leaders for Johnson Controls. Build a climate that energizes team members, hire and retain talent. Prepare and deliver clear expectations, performance reviews and development plans for the team Desired Skills and Experience What we look for Required Bachelor or MBA degree in Accounting or Finance Minimum 12 years of demonstrated experience in Finance in multinational environment, and recent experience in a senior position including team management Significant experience in preparing financial reports and presenting to high-level management and c-level executives Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with a wide range of stakeholders, of varying levels, in a highly matrixed organization, both internal & external Strong business acumen, analytical skills, research capabilities and ability to work within a matrixed and cross-functional environment to proactively address critical finance issues Ability to understand and work within diverse cultural landscape and all organizational levels to seek opportunities for improvement and leverage resources for problem resolution when and where required Ability to coach and build effective teams across multiple cultures and languages, empowering others to achieve results through professional motivation, recognition and performance feedback Ability to establish goals consistent with company objectives and to adapt plans to a changing environment Excellent English and Arabic business language proficiency Able to travel significantly within MEA region and internationally Preferred Certified CPA Experience in large international corporate environment Experience in construction and/or building solutions industry
