Lead Maintenance Engineer

Job Description : LEAD MAINTENANCE ENGINEER NIGERIA 12+ years experience 1. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of mechanical technicians, ensuring efficient and effective maintenance operations. 2. Assign tasks and schedules to the team, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to deadlines. 3. Provide technical guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledgeable work environment. 4. Oversee the inspection, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems, including engines, pumps, compressors, AC systems, and other marine machinery. 5. Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with manufacturer specifications, company policies, and safety regulations 6. Diagnose mechanical issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance. 7. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure the continuous operation of marine vessels and equipment. 8. Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to plan maintenance activities, minimizing disruptions to operations. 9.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance. 10.Monitor and manage the inventory of spare parts, tools, and materials required for mechanical maintenance. 11. Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of required resources. 12. Optimize resource usage and reduce maintenance costs through effective planning and management. 13. Ability to work in various weather conditions, including exposure to harsh marine environments. 13. Must be able to lift and carry heavy equipment and perform physically demanding tasks. 14. Willingness to travel and work on sailing barges.
