Job Description : Head of Sourcing Operations for a French Apparel Brand -Delhi Salary INR1.00- INR1.20 Crores Per Annum The Head of Sourcing Operations will be responsible for managing and overseeing the entire sourcing strategy for our European garment retail brand. This role focuses on building strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring the timely procurement of high-quality products, and optimizing sourcing processes for cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in sourcing, vendor management, and supply chain operations, with a deep understanding of the fashion industry. Key Responsibilities Sourcing Strategy Development: Lead and implement the brand's overall sourcing strategy, ensuring the selection of high-quality, cost-effective materials and products that align with the brand's vision and market positioning. Vendor and Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers and manufacturers globally. Negotiate favorable contracts and manage long-term relationships to ensure high standards of product quality, delivery timelines, and competitive pricing. Product Selection and Procurement: Oversee the selection and procurement process for all products, working closely with design and product development teams to ensure that sourcing aligns with product requirements, seasonality, and consumer demand. Cost Optimization: Monitor and control the cost of goods sold (COGS) to ensure sourcing is done within budget constraints while maintaining product quality. Seek out cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality or delivery timelines. Supply Chain Coordination: Work closely with the supply chain team to ensure seamless coordination between sourcing, production, and distribution, ensuring that products are delivered on time and meet the quality standards required by the brand. Sourcing Risk Management: Identify potential risks within the sourcing process (e.g., supply chain disruptions, quality issues, geopolitical factors) and develop contingency plans to mitigate these risks and ensure business continuity. Quality Control: Establish and monitor quality control standards for all sourced products, working closely with suppliers and production teams to resolve any quality issues. Market Research & Trend Analysis: Stay informed on global sourcing trends, material innovations, and industry shifts. Conduct regular market research to identify new suppliers, materials, and emerging trends to keep the brand competitive. Sustainability and Ethical Sourcing: Lead initiatives focused on sustainable sourcing practices, ensuring that suppliers comply with the company’s ethical and environmental standards. Supplier Performance Evaluation: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess supplier performance, including quality, delivery timelines, and cost. Provide regular feedback & work with suppliers to resolve any performance issues.
