Finance and Accounting Head

Job Description : Head of Finance & Accounting London UK for a large scale trading corporation run by an Indian Looking for overseas candidates with preferably Indian wa base salary if GBP 5500PM plus all bachelor expenses paid and cared for ( 3 meals a day, full utility usage at work and lodging, transport, weekly offs and yearly bonus – subject to Management)including lodging, boarding and the right to live and work in the UK. This is a 5 years contract, leave will be annual for 21 days responsible for overseeing the financial health of the retail company, ensuring robust financial planning, compliance, and strategic decision-making. This role involves managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, tax planning, cash flow management, and internal controls while supporting business growth and profitability. You will play a critical role in financial strategy, cost optimization, and driving efficiency across the organization. As the Head of Finance & Accounting, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall financial health of the company. You will develop and execute strategic plans that align with the company's long-term objectives. Your role will involve providing key insights to the executive team to aid in decision-making processes. You will also lead the planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes to ensure business sustainability. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring compliance with statutory reporting requirements. * Develop and execute financial strategies to support business growth and long-term objectives. * Provide financial insights and recommendations to the executive team for decision-making. * Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes to ensure business sustainability. * Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP). * Ensure proper maintenance of accounting records, general ledger, and financial controls. * Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes. * Monitor and ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements. * Manage working capital, liquidity, and cash flow to ensure financial stability. * Optimise capital structure and banking relationships for effective treasury management. * Oversee accounts payable and receivable to maintain strong financial discipline. * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; MBA or professional certification (CA, CPA, ACCA) preferred. * 10+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting with at least 5 years in a leadership role. * Experience in the retail industry or consumer goods sector is highly desirable. * Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and taxation. * Expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management. * Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. * Proficiency in financial systems, ERP software, and data analytics tools Online interviews mid Feb, final round interviews F2F in Mumbai first week March
