Transport and Logistics Manager

Job Description : TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS MANAGER ZIMBABWE Develop and implement logistics strategies and processes to ensure timely delivery of products and optimize the supply chain. Coordinate with service providers and suppliers. Oversee transportation of goods and ensure compliance with local, national, and regional regulations. Management of relationships and contracts. Coordinate storage operations including receiving, storage, and distribution. Ensure that safety, quality, and efficiency are maintained in the storage environment. Lead, train, and evaluate logistics personnel. Develop team capabilities and foster a strong customer service mentality. Monthly analysis of logistics data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement. Implement systems, technologies and innovations to enhance logistics operations and reduce costs. Develop and manage logistics budget in line with organizational goals. Monitor and initiate budget alignments based on performance and strategic priorities. Ensure compliance with all statutes, regulations, and laws regarding transportation and storage. Stay informed about industry developments and innovations. Key Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a team. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities. Exceptional communication and negotiation capabilities. Proficient with Microsoft software. Qualifications: Qualification in logistics, supply chain, business administration, or a related field. Several years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, with a track record of progressive responsibility.
