Operations Manager

Job Description : Kansai International Management is seeking an Operations Manager for a Green field operating in the automotive industry Tangier Morocco! a global player in the automotive industry and specializes in the design and manufacturing of automotive cockpit, seating systems... It is one of the leading OEMs generating around $11.7 billion in revenues FY 2024 with presence in more than 17 countries. For their plant in Tangier (Morocco) an Operations Manager is needed. The plant will be around 170 employees (First Phase). Your role and responsibilities? Plant Operations Manager is responsible to coordinate the activity of the production departments in order to achieve operational performance and supporting the Plant Manager in the implementation of standards and improvement projects. Main Missions are: ? Fully responsible for safety, quality, deliveries and the financial part of the operational activity of the factory; ? Fully responsible for the financial results in relation to the operational profit (OI) of the production departments (direct and indirect costs, scrap, rework...), cash ((WIP- materials in the production flow (work in progress), FG – finished product (finish good), PPAP – product approval process in the manufacturing flow (production part approval process)) to ensure customer satisfaction; ? Fully responsible for the planning and implementation of production plans (PDP-production planning); ? Support the Plant Manager in the preparation and presentation of the budget, forecast and review at the end of the month; ? Coordinates within the production departments all actions to improve financial results (MIP - manufacturing integrated planning, VAVE - value added value engineering improvements, Hoshin plan - improvement sites...); ? Involves in the review of program launches and coordinates the related actions within the production departments to prepare and ensure new launches in optimal conditions and with results according to objectives (PT- production trials), MPT- mass production trial), EMPT- extended mass production trial)); ? Monthly reviews the TRS (overall equipment effectiveness) indicator, for equipment capacity analysis… Who are you? The ideal candidate will have/be Minimum education level: ? Master’s degree in business or Engineering Experience: ? Minimum 15 years related experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive interior industry preferred). ? Proven and successful experience in production management and Lean manufacturing production system / Toyota production system Skills and competencies: ?
