Job Description : SUPPLY CHAIN HEAD NIGERIA FOR PHARMA The successful candidate will add strategic value across the business through development and implementation of effective Supply Chain strategy to achieve AOP (Annual Operational Plan) with focus on transforming the SCM function into a value creation group. The incumbent will have a direct responsibility to Business Head and will work in collaboration with various stakeholders, cross-functional partners and strategic suppliers to generate year-over-year productivity, cost savings and improvement in top-line & bottom-line performance and overall business results. Administer the supply chain function entailing supply strategy & planning, logistic operations, customer service (order-to-invoice, vendors/ supplier, service strategy) and master data. Showcase capabilities in establishing and formulating the supply chain strategies across the sales and distribution channels. Establish strategies for the Warehouse and Distribution Functions in the Supply Chain including both consumer and pharmaceutical goods. Spearhead wide variety of activities inclusive of formulating logistics solutions, streamlining customs documentation at all major ports, developing dispatch/shipment plans of the cargo, analyzing POs, credit memos, claims, resolving product complaints & many more. Conceptualize and implement a plan for cost effective buying through long-term procurement strategy in coordination with different suppliers. Prioritize tasks and establish schedules to maintain uniform workload among purchasing department employees. Direct and oversee end-to-end logistics operations inclusive of maintaining inventory records, stock control, shortages, shipment details, expenditures and fleet tracking for on-time reporting at customer site. Liaison between Production Planning & Plant Maintenance departments for timely order and receipt or tracking of material and interacting with Supplier & Transporters for documents verification. Head the team to meet demand fulfilment by ensuring On-Time-In-Full supplies against budget/ forecast ensuring management of inventory and procurements within budgeted rates. Manage the performance of Purchase function, including routine correspondence, vendor list preparation, vendor applications and updates, bid and specification preparation, compilation of surplus equipment lists and contract and records file maintenance. Maintain departmental procurement policy and procedure manual and recorded databases. Essential education, experience & skills: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business or Life Sciences or equivalent is mandatory, tertiary qualification such as MBA is desirable. Progressive business experience of 15+ years in Logistics, Demand & Distribution Management, Vendor Management, Materials Management, Risk Analysis & Mitigation, Operational Excellence and Cost Innovation. Excellent consulting and communication skills (oral, written, interpersonal, presentation) with the ability to influence senior stakeholders. Strong personal credibility and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with senior business leaders and frontline staff alike. Strong analytical skill set required to drive problem-solving and innovative solutions. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation Experience of working cross-culturally with diverse colleagues in a complex multi-country, matrix environment is preferred. Experience in Africa is preferred.
