Head of Global HSE 

Job Description : Head of Global Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), DENMARK for a large Industrial client, with a strong global footprint, spanning multiple markets, production facilities, sales offices, and R&D centers worldwide. The role will be based in Copenhagen, Denmark and is open to International candidates Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive global sustainability and HSE strategy that aligns with corporate objectives and industry best practices. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all global, regional, and local HSE regulations, industry standards, and corporate policies. Sustainability Initiatives: Lead the development and implementation of corporate sustainability programs, including carbon footprint reduction, energy efficiency, waste management, and circular economy initiatives. HSE Culture & Training: Foster a culture of safety excellence by implementing robust training programs, awareness campaigns, and continuous improvement initiatives. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, industry associations, investors, and customers, to drive sustainable business practices. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate environmental, health, and safety risks across global operations. Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure HSE and sustainability effectiveness. Provide regular reports to the executive leadership team and the board. Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in sustainability and HSE, integrating them into the company’s strategy. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR): Oversee CSR initiatives and corporate commitments to environmental and social governance (ESG) frameworks. Key Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 15+ years of progressive experience in HSE and sustainability leadership roles within an industrial, manufacturing, or energy-intensive environment. Strong knowledge of global HSE regulations, standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001), and sustainability frameworks (GRI, CDP, TCFD, SBTi). Experience in leading cross-functional teams in a global, multi-site environment. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement sustainability and HSE strategies that drive measurable business impact. Experience working with executive leadership and presenting to the board on sustainability and HSE performance. Proven track record in managing complex regulatory requirements and mitigating compliance risks.
