Director of Strategy and Planning

Job Description : Director of Strategy and Planning – Singapore In this role, as Director of strategy and planning, you will be working with CEO, business unit heads and members of senior leadership teams on important initiatives to drive the next generation growth initiatives for Group Enterprise. This will cover topics around IOT, cloud, smart nations as well emerging areas of analytics, blockchain etc. You will be leading developing strategic view for key growth areas for the MNO’s management, driving eventual top management buy-in and driving execution of endorsed strategies. This will include evaluating options including alliances, joint ventures and M&A. Your key responsibilities include: Support the formulation of the company’s strategy based on clear issue framing and rigorous analyses Ability to logically structure complex problems and derive insight (fact-based decisions) Ability to present to senior-level audiences in a persuasive and effective manner Engage senior executives in the development and execution of strategic initiatives Help influence a high-performance culture by challenging critical business assumptions and encouraging cross-functional collaboration Ability to collaborate across teams The ideal candidate should possess: Superior analytical skills using data to make fact-based decisions Excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills to engage with various stakeholders An attention to detail with a focus on results and bias for action Not afraid to get hands dirty and a team player Experience in doing investment decisions, including M&A, JV etc. Your qualifications: Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Computer Science Minimum 10 years total work experience Minimum 5 years of top tier strategy/ management consulting experience or corporate strategy/ planning experience Interest in Technology industry or industry experience in technology strategy an asset
