Senior Mechanical Supritendent

Job Description : Senior Mechanical Superintendent with a background in processing plant mechanical and electrical engineering maintenance on sag mills and related equipment, to lead their team on site in West Africa. Responsibilities: · Overseeing mechanical and electrical engineering maintenance activities within the processing plant and related facilities. · Training and mentoring of the national workforce in line with OEM and industry best practices, including the preparation of training material. · Assisting the Engineering Manager to ensure all work is carried out sufficiently. · Carrying out continuous improvement initiatives and problem solving. · Ensure plant performance metrics and maintenance compliance are achieved. · Identifying and assessing maintenance issues and risks at the plant. · Risk mitigation and compiling strategies to achieve and maintain compliance. · Prompt recording, reporting and investigating of any incidents or events. · Task allocation and overseeing maintenance carried out by the team. Requirements: Qualification and Skill · Mechanical Engineering Degree from an accredited institution. · 15 years previous experience in mechanical and electrical engineering maintenance within mining processing plants, with 10 years in a leadership capacity. · Previous experience in sag mills, cone crushers, conveyors, pumps and gravity separation. · Rigging and lifting, component refurbishment and process plant installation experience. · Computer literate in MS Office and Projects. · Proven ability to mentor, train, coach and guide team members. · Financial management acumen. · Strong focus on health and safety standards and compliance. · Previous expatriate experience in multicultural environments. · In line with the company’s diversification initiatives, female candidates are encouraged to apply.
