Head of Sales, Planning and Distribution

Job Description : Head of Sales Planning & Distribution MALAYSIA for their automotive division. This role is pivotal in managing, directing, and achieving the budgeted sales volume and profitability by ensuring effective sales promotion and incentive schemes, product planning, pricing, positioning, and optimal utilisation of resources. The successful candidate will be based in Malaysia and will play a key role in contributing to the development of the company's vision and strategies. • Manage and direct budgeted sales volume and profitability • Contribute to the development of company vision and strategies • Maintain good relations with key contacts and influencers What you'll do: As the Head of Sales Planning & Distribution, your role will be multifaceted. You will be responsible for formulating annual sales forecasts, developing product pricing, monitoring budgets, establishing SOPs, collaborating with marketing teams, overseeing stock management, monitoring sales performance, and providing strong leadership. Your ability to cultivate a team spirit will be crucial in this role. You will also be expected to maintain up-to-date market information and constantly monitor sales, order intake, and stock situation. • Formulate annual sales forecasts in accordance with management plans • Develop product pricing and ensure adequate sales margins • Monitor all related budgets throughout the year to ensure spending levels are as budgeted • Establish and review the Company’s Sales Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) • Collaborate with Marketing department in developing programs to achieve sales and profit objectives • Oversee stock and order management • Monitor the performance of sales personnel in sales achievement, customer service and promote knowledge culture • Provide strong leadership and cultivate teamwork spirit What you bring: As an ideal candidate for the Head of Sales Planning & Distribution role, you bring a wealth of experience from your 10+ years in automotive sales planning, distribution or sales management. You hold a degree in Marketing or Business Administration or related. Your proven track record in managing sales planning & distribution strategies speaks volumes about your capabilities. You have a knack for sales forecasting, budgeting, and performance analytics, backed by strong data analysis skills that drive sales forecasts and business decisions. Your ability to lead teams, negotiate with dealers, and collaborate with cross-functional departments is commendable. Above all, your deep understanding of the automotive industry, market dynamics, and customer behaviour sets you apart.
