Procurement Head

Job Description : nsibilities Review and recommend for approval the Contractor’s procurement strategies tailored to the pipeline project, ensuring cost efficiency and regulatory compliance. Manage the procurement lifecycle, including sourcing, bidding, evaluation, contract negotiation, and supplier performance monitoring. Qualify potential suppliers, ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry standards. Collaborate with EPC Contractor’s engineering and project management teams to define material and equipment requirements. Coordinate logistics, transportation, and warehousing to ensure timely delivery of materials. Monitor procurement budgets, cost control measures, and report procurement KPIs to stakeholders. Ensure procurement activities comply with local and international regulations, company policies, and safety standards. Supervise contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and risk mitigation for the company. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field. 12+ years of experience in procurement within the oil & gas, energy, or pipeline construction sectors. Proven experience in procurement and contract management for large-scale infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and contract negotiations. Familiarity with industry standards, local/international procurement regulations, and HSE requirements. Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.). Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset. Preferred Certifications: Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) certification. Work Environment & Conditions: Office-based with periodic site visits as required. Travel may be required to supplier locations, project sites, and client meetings.
