Job Description : COO KENYA FOR MANUFACTURING COMPANY Minimum Bachelor's degree with science orientation. Chemical engineering or manufacturing qualification a plus but not a must. Similarly some qualification in business management would be a plus but not essential. Proven experience as COO or relevant role at least 10 years. Specific experience in manufacturing of botanical extracts and or analysis of extracts. Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and achieving targets. Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operations metrics. Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities. Excellent interpersonal skills. Aptitude in decision making and problem solving. Relevant Industry First choice would be direct experience in the Botanical Extraction industry. Then agro or food processing. Pharma manufacturing Chief Operating Officer. 1. Primary responsibility to manage all aspects of production: Understanding Manufacturing Targets and budgets. Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth. Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics. Oversee manufacturing operations. Work with the team to ensure that: All required inputs are ordered in a timely manner. Production teams are scheduled appropriately. Production is maintained at a high level. Production targets and budgets are met. Designing and implementing manufacturing operations Contribute to setting of production targets and budgets in following years. Make improvements in the production cost structure, throughput, quality and overall competence of the manufacturing and maintenance team. 2. Secondly To assist with capital investment planning and implementation. Thirdly - possibility exists to grow into P&L responsibilities and Board reporting. Required Candidate profile Hands on experience of managing manufacturing operations in either Botanical Extraction; Agro-processing; food processing or pharma industry. Proven track record of successfully managing production operations in a similar environment. Proven track record of successfully upgrading operations. High level of energy; commitment and integrity. Ability to work in a team and with different cultures.
