Job Description : Business Unit Director – Multi-Site Engineering Operations ???? £120,000 - £140,000 + Package North of England (Manchester/Leeds) ???? Are you a hands-on leader ready to make a real impact? We’re looking for a Business Unit Director to drive operational excellence across multiple engineering sites, leading service delivery, asset management, and maintenance operations in a complex, fast-paced environment. ????? This role is all about leading from the front, ensuring PPM & reactive maintenance keep our mechanical, electrical, and engineering assets running at peak performance. You’ll be on the ground, optimising processes, modernising operations, and shaping a high-performing engineering culture. What You’ll Do ????Lead multi-site engineering teams, ensuring seamless service delivery. ???? Drive process improvements and modernisation across operations. ???? Oversee P&L and budget management, ensuring cost-effective maintenance. ???? Develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of excellence & accountability. ???? Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards. What We’re Looking For ? Experience leading multi-site engineering or production operations. ? Strong financial acumen – P&L and budget management. ? Background in aftermarket, heavy engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, or automotive. ? A visible, decisive leader who thrives in an operational setting. ? Proven track record in process improvement and cultural transformation.
