Procurement Head

Job Description : Head of Procurement Department Grade Level: Senior Management Location: Lagos, Head Office Direct report to: MD/CEO Date: Purpose / Role We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Head of Procurement to lead and manage the procurement department. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in procurement management, supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and cost optimization. This role is responsible for driving procurement strategies that align with the organization’s goals, ensuring efficient purchasing processes, and building strong supplier partnerships to support business growth. Key Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus). • 7+ years of experience in logistics, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role. • Strong understanding of logistics technologies, supply chain management, and warehousing. • Proven experience in managing logistics operations, optimizing supply chain efficiency, and driving cost reduction strategies. • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions. • Experience with logistics software, TMS (Transportation Management Systems), WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), and ERP systems. • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment. • Knowledge of international shipping and import/export regulations (if applicable)
