Security Head

Job Description : The Head of Security MALI for a mining operation is responsible for the overall strategic direction and implementation of all security-related activities within the mine. This includes managing security personnel, developing and implementing security policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, and overseeing security operations to ensure the safety and security of personnel, assets, and operations. Key Responsibilities: · Strategic Planning and Policy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive security plans, policies, and procedures tailored to the specific needs of the mining operation. · Risk Assessment and Management: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities, and develop mitigation strategies. · Personnel Management: Recruit, train, supervise, and manage security personnel, ensuring they are properly trained and equipped. · Security Operations: Oversee all security-related activities, including patrols, monitoring systems (CCTV, RFID, etc.), and incident response. · Compliance and Legal Requirements: Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. · Crisis Management: Develop and implement crisis management plans to respond effectively to security incidents and emergencies. · Stakeholder Relations: Maintain strong relationships with local communities, law enforcement agencies, and other relevant stakeholders. · Budget Management: Manage the security budget and ensure cost-effectiveness. · Technology Implementation: Evaluate and implement new security technologies to enhance security operations. · Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and improve security protocols and procedures to adapt to evolving threats and challenges.
