Engineering Director

Job Description : ENGINEERING DIRECTOR MADRID SPAIN a leading solar energy producer, is seeking an Engineering Director. This role is critical to the delivery of long-term, sustainable PV and PV+BESS assets that have a measurable impact on the decarbonization of the planet. Based in Madrid, this position offers the opportunity to work in a solid company committed to climate change and sustainability. What will you do: As Engineering Director, you will play a key role in the development and engineering of our PV and PV+BESS projects. Your main focus will be managing the engineering team responsible for solar projects from development to technical support. You will also be in charge of detailed engineering during the construction phase, primarily in Spain, but also in other technologies and countries as part of the team. • Define basic guidelines for the design of solar power plants and hybrid plants. • Coordinate internal and external resources. • Ensure that the plant's engineering and design comply with all applicable permits, licenses, and laws. • Review basic and detailed engineering performed by third parties. • Support other areas of the company in the permitting process. • Monitor technical industry trends for PV modules, inverters, and trackers. • Implement and enforce engineering and review processes. What you bring: • At least 10 years of engineering experience, including 3-4 years in plantsPV utility scale • Solid technical knowledge of solar systems and components. • Mastery of AutoCAD and PV Case. • Fluency inSpanish and English• Curiosity and proactive pursuit of opportunities for new innovations in solar system design and continuous improvement initiatives. • Availability to travel on time.
