Procurement and Supply Chain Head 

Job Description : PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLY CHAIN HEAD GREENLAND FOR MINING Remote location and open to International canddiates with 25+ years experience Bachelor status 180/30 USD 330K PA The Procurement and Supply Chain Head for a Greenland mining operation is responsible for the overall management of procurement, sourcing, and supply chain operations within the company. This includes developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance, and optimizing the supply chain for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Responsibilities: Strategic Planning: Develop and implement procurement and supply chain strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives, considering factors such as local regulations, environmental sustainability, and risk management. Supplier Management: Establish, maintain, and manage relationships with suppliers, ensuring quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness. Contract Negotiation: Negotiate favorable contract terms with suppliers, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms. Procurement Process: Oversee and optimize the procurement process, from sourcing to payment, ensuring efficiency and compliance with company policies and regulations. Supply Chain Optimization: Identify and implement strategies to optimize the supply chain, including logistics, warehousing, and transportation, to minimize costs and improve delivery times. Monitor and analyze spending, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement cost-reduction initiatives. Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to procurement and supply chain management. Team Management: Lead, develop, and motivate a team of procurement and supply chain professionals. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks within the procurement and supply chain, such as disruptions, price fluctuations, and supplier performance issues. Performance Reporting: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement and supply chain performance. Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless integration of procurement and supply chain functions. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Extensive experience in procurement and supply chain management, ideally within the mining industry. Strong understanding of supply chain dynamics, including sourcing, logistics, and risk management. Experience in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and contract management. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to lead and motivate a team. Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations. Experience with relevant software and systems, such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Supply Chain Management (SCM) systems.
