Job Description : FLEET CONTROLLER ZIMBABWE (Transport & Logistics Industry, Mutare) - Our client in the transport & logistics industry is looking for fleet controller to join their dynamic team. Applications are invited from suitable candidates who are willing to relocate working in Mutare. At least five years working experience is Transport and logistics operations, at a supervisory level. The successful candidate (s) will be responsible to manage the Logistics Fleet and staff for enhanced productivity; minimal costs and profitability within set budget parameters. Allocates vehicle/trucks to the Logistics Drivers within the confines of the regulatory requirements. Maintains a live spreadsheet on vehicle/truck allocation. Initiates changes of Logistics Drivers on missing and unaccounted truck accessories. Assists in negotiating transport rates with external transporters. Ensures client transporter companies’ documents and paperwork needed before granting a contract of carriage for example GIT Insurance, Operators Licence, Tax Clearance, certified fingerprints of directors among others, are in place before loads are allocated. Verifies transporter’s existence, reliability and operations through seeking recommendations from various well known and established stakeholders. Qualifications: A Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree in Logistics and Transport Management, or any related discipline.
