Job Description : Import Manager ???? Location: Kinshasa, DRC Key Responsibilities ????Lead and manage all import activities in compliance with local regulations. ????Liaise with customs, freight forwarders, clearing agents, and internal teams to ensure smooth and timely import processes. ????Develop and execute import strategies that align with business goals and market demands. ????Optimize logistics, documentation, and compliance procedures to reduce costs and improve efficiency. ????Monitor performance of 3PL partners and ensure adherence to SLAs. ????Maintain up-to-date knowledge of import/export laws, tariffs, and free trade agreements in African markets. ????Ensure proper shipment insurance coverage and awareness of relevant insurance policies. ????Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, and sales teams to ensure product availability and delivery timelines. Requirements: 10+ years of experience in import management, with a focus on Africa. Strong background in the FMCG or beverage industry is essential. In-depth understanding of African import regulations, documentation, and logistics practices. Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with cross-functional teams. Fluency in English; knowledge of French or Lingala is a plus.
