Transport Director

Job Description : TRANSPORT DIRECTOR USA Demonstrated skills in the coaching and development of staff to meet organizational needs BS degree with a major in Transportation / Logistics / Supply Chain Management Fifteen years’ experience in both US Domestic and International Transportation, with an emphasis on importing in to the US Previous experience in US export, Intra Asia, and Asia to Europe transportation preferred Previous experience with large retailer or Consumer Product Goods company preferred Must have extensive knowledge of negotiating international transportation rate agreements, both ocean carrier service contracts and air freight forwarding agreements Ability to navigate the global network for effectively moving product from our factories to our consumers Key thought leader in implementation of SAP Transportation Management and Global Trade Solutions Actively build new business and maintain profitable client relationships Pitching financing and leasing solutions to Transportation clients Qualifications for director transportation · Exposure to TMS packages and Bid Optimization software a plus · Must have strong financial management and budgeting experience · Self-motivated team player that can excel with limited supervision · Ability to develop partnerships with internal/external providers/customers · Strong commercial, relationship and risk management skills · Managing various operational, review and portfolio management processes
