15 yearsJob Description : SENIOR PROCUREMENT MANAGER WELLINGTON NEW ZEALAND Acting as a trusted advisor and commercial business partner, you’ll be responsible for managing high-value procurement activities and delivering strategic sourcing outcomes across a diverse portfolio of goods and services, in the ICT space. This role is ideal for a commercially astute professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is looking to make a tangible impact on procurement performance and organisational value Key Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies, procurement pipelines, and vendor plans. Manage major procurement activities (contract value >$100K), including market engagement and vendor selection. Provide expert commercial advice and support on complex procurement matters and contract risk. Lead contract negotiations and establish robust supplier agreements. Support contract owners with supplier performance monitoring, commercial compliance, and reporting. Contribute to procurement policy development and uplift procurement capability across the business. Build strong internal and external relationships and represent the organisation in industry and government forums. What You’ll Bring 15+ years' experience in ICT procurement and commercial contract management at a senior level. Proven expertise in leading high-value, complex sourcing initiatives and supplier negotiations. Sound understanding of procurement risk, financial analysis, and commercial frameworks. Exceptional stakeholder engagement, relationship management, and influencing skills. qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g., Business, Commerce, Law) and/or CIPS certification (or working towards). Strong private sector expereince.
