Job Description : FC LONDION UK Open to International candidates your role will be pivotal in managing the financial functions of the organisation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include preparing financial reports, leading tax return submissions, developing budgets and forecasts, monitoring cash flow, implementing internal controls, supervising junior staff members, and providing financial advice to other departments. Your expertise will be crucial in driving profitability and operational efficiency. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) Provide financial analysis and reporting on variances, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management Lead the preparation and submission of tax returns (VAT, corporation tax, etc.) Develop, manage, and refine the company’s annual budget and periodic forecasts Monitor cash flow and working capital to ensure the company’s financial health Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial information Supervise and mentor junior finance staff Provide financial advice and support to other departments to drive profitability and operational efficiency What you bring: As a Financial Controller for our client's SME, you bring a wealth of knowledge from your Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance along with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. Your strong understanding of financial accounting principles coupled with your proficiency in accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooks makes you an ideal candidate for this role. Your leadership skills are evident through your experience leading and mentoring a team, and your strong financial analysis skills enable you to interpret financial data and make data-driven decisions. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or QBE) At least 5 years of experience in a financial control role within an SME or similar business environment Strong understanding of financial accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Excel Experience leading and mentoring a small team; excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong financial analysis skills with the ability to interpret financial data and make data-driven decisions
