Job Description : PLANT HEAD GURGAON INDIA a leading foods FMCG startup with a segment leading foods product portfolio and an aggressive expansion plan of increasing manufacturing setups Job Description Overall Plant Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the plant team, fostering a high-performance culture. Develop and implement short-term and long-term operational plans to achieve production targets, improve efficiency, and maximise profitability. Oversee all aspects of plant operations, including production, planning, procurement, quality, safety, and maintenance. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective actions to address any deviations from targets. Production & Planning: Plan and schedule production runs to meet customer demand and optimise resource utilisation. Ensure efficient and timely production of high-quality products while adhering to safety and quality standards. Monitor production performance and identify areas for improvement in efficiency, yield, and productivity. Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives. Procurement & Quality: Manage the procurement of raw materials, packaging, and other supplies in a cost-effective and timely manner. Ensure the highest quality standards are maintained throughout the entire production process. Implement and maintain a robust quality management system, including food safety programs (e.g., HACCP, FSSC 22000). Conduct regular quality audits and take corrective actions as needed. Safety & Maintenance: Ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all employees. Implement and maintain a robust safety program, including regular safety training and inspections. Oversee plant maintenance activities to ensure equipment is properly maintained and operating efficiently. Manage plant budgets and ensure cost-effective utilisation of resources. Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of production supervisors, engineers, and technicians. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Recruit, hire, and train qualified personnel as needed. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, or a related field. 18-22 years of progressive experience in food manufacturing, with at least 10 years of experience in a leadership role (Plant Manager, Operations Manager, etc.). Proven experience in leading all aspects of plant operations, including production, planning, procurement, quality, and safety. Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality management systems (e.g., HACCP, FSSC 22000). Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
