Maintenance Manager

Job Description : MAINTENANCE MANAGER UAE a leading Food and Beverage manufacturing company in their search for a Maintenance Manager. The role will be responsible for the overall Engineering, Maintenance, Projects and Facilities. Previous experience in Beverage Manufacturing is essential. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES · Drive the maintenance team – ensuring all activities are planned and proactive to drive down costs and increase uptime on machines and site equipment · Plan organize and run optimum day-to-day maintenance operations at the factories / manufacturing sites to maximize the running / uptime of the plant · Ensure all machinery and equipment are maintained to a high standard food / beverage and people safety and will ensure minimum unscheduled losses · Coordinate and act as a point of contact between the Maintenance, Engineering and HSE departments while developing Continuous Improvement (CI) activities as well as improving safety, quality, output and customer delivery performance · Contribute in the planning and formulation of operations strategy to boost site performance of all departments · Responsible in implementation of processes, policies, procedures and initiatives across all departments and ensure compliance to standards and regulations set by the company · Monitor performance and continuously development of strategies and initiatives to reduce losses in a systematic way · Monitor CAPEX spending and handle the execution of the capital budget projects · Improve and maintain the hygiene and safety standards of the production plant · Implement Overall Equipment Effectiveness – increasing performance by reducing downtime and unplanned stoppages · Set clear targets and measures for each of the direct reports in the factory – use weekly and daily production meetings to monitor these KPI’s – giving live feedback on progress against targets. KEY INGREDIENTS · Degree or Diploma in Engineering · Minimum 15 years’ experience in managing the maintenance department in a beverage manufacturing FMCG company · Previously dealt with PET, cans or glass · Experience with suppliers such as Krones, KHS, Sidel and/or water treatment and juice processing · Experience in Lean Six Sigma Manufacturing Techniques and OEE · Experience in ERP Systems · Knowledgeable of health & safety, engineering and maintenance processes · Excellent leadership, people management, and decision-making skills · Excellent problem-solving skills and planning skills · Enjoys spending time on the factory floor interacting with operators and maintenance staff.
