Reports To: Plant Head / Factory Manager Job Summary: We are looking for a seasoned Production Manager to lead and optimize operations in our tobacco manufacturing facility. The role involves overseeing the entire cigarette production line, ensuring machine efficiency, product quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous process improvement. Key Responsibilities: · Manage daily operations of cigarette manufacturing and packing lines. · Develop and implement production plans aligned with demand forecasts and inventory targets. · Supervise the efficient functioning of critical cigarette-making and packing machinery including: o MARK 8, MAX, PROTOS, SASIB 3000, KDF, GD121, GD 2000, Molins MK8/9, FOCKE Hinge Lid Packers, MARDEN EDWARDS Overwrappers, HAUNI machines (KDF and MAX-S) · Ensure scheduled preventive maintenance is conducted to minimize downtime. · Maintain production quality standards and ensure adherence to safety protocols. · Monitor KPI metrics and analyze production performance data; implement corrective actions as needed. · Foster a culture of continuous improvement using Lean or Six Sigma methodologies. · Provide technical guidance and leadership to production staff; manage shift schedules. · Coordinate with procurement, logistics, QA/QC, and engineering departments for seamless operations. · Ensure compliance with local and international regulatory and environmental standards. Requirements: · Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering (or equivalent). · 12 to 24 years of experience in cigarette or tobacco product manufacturing. · Deep knowledge of cigarette-making and packing equipment, including older and newer generation machines. · Proven ability to manage large production teams and complex machinery lines. · Familiarity with ERP systems and production planning tools. · Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team leadership skills. · Proficiency in English or French. · Open to relocation and working in shifts, including night shifts.
