Chief Executive Officer

Job Description : CEO PACKAGING NIGERIA The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will be responsible for providing strategic, operational, and financial leadership to organization. The CEO will work closely with the Board of Directors to define and execute the companys growth strategy, ensure profitability, establish a high-performing culture, and drive operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of manufacturing and packaging industries in emerging markets, preferably Africa. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership - Develop and execute long-term business strategies aligned with the company's mission, vision, and values. - Identify new market opportunities, including export markets, product diversification, and strategic partnerships. - Build and lead the implementation of digital transformation and sustainability initiatives. Operational Management - Oversee all operations, manufacturing, and supply chain activities ensuring optimal productivity, quality, and compliance. - Implement modern manufacturing practices (Lean, Six Sigma, TPM) to improve efficiency and reduce costs. - Lead CAPEX projects and technology upgrades for production infrastructure. Financial Oversight - Drive financial performance by setting and achieving revenue, margin, and profitability targets. - Build financial models, manage budgets, and ensure proper risk management and governance practices. - Interface with investors, auditors, and financial institutions to ensure transparency and compliance. Organizational Development - Foster a performance-driven, inclusive, and collaborative organizational culture. - Develop and mentor senior leadership teams to ensure business continuity and future-ready talent. - Implement robust HR practices, including performance management, training, and succession planning. Stakeholder Management - Represent Zeepack in key industry forums, government bodies, and trade associations. - Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, regulators, and partners. Desired Candidate Profile: Education: - Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Engineering, or related discipline. - Additional certifications in operations, sustainability, or global business strategy would be a plus. Experience: - 18+ years of progressive experience with at least 5 years in a CEO/MD/COO role in the manufacturing/packaging/FMCG sector. - Proven track record of scaling business operations and leading turnarounds in emerging markets (Africa experience is highly desirable). - Experience managing large-scale industrial units, preferably in packaging or allied industries.
