The role demands deep technical expertise, strategic planning capability, and leadership to ensure high equipment availability, cost-effective operations, and compliance with safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: 1. Mechanical Operations & Maintenance: Ensure optimum equipment uptime and implement predictive, preventive, and breakdown maintenance systems. Execute shutdowns, overhauls, and equipment refurbishments within timeline and budget. 2. Project Management & Commissioning: Plan and implement mechanical projects for plant expansions or modernizations. Supervise mechanical erection, installation, and commissioning of major equipment. 3. Team Leadership & Development: Lead a team of mechanical engineers, supervisors, and technicians. Build technical capabilities, conduct regular training, and promote a high-performance culture. 5. Safety & Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with statutory, safety, and environmental regulations. Conduct risk assessments, audits, and safety drills specific to mechanical equipment and systems. 6. Cost Control & Inventory Management: Manage mechanical maintenance budgets and optimize spares consumption. Develop local vendors and ensure timely procurement of critical parts and materials.
