Operations Head

Job Description : OPERATIONS HEAD NIGERIA The Head of Operations will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) plant in Nigeria. The role requires strong leadership and operational expertise in the iron and steel sector, with specific experience in DRI technology and plant management. The individual will ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production while optimizing cost and resource utilization. Lead and manage the end-to-end operations of the DRI plant including production, maintenance, quality control, logistics, and safety. Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to improve plant efficiency and output. Oversee production planning and ensure alignment with business goals and customer requirements. Ensure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) regulations and foster a culture of safety across the plant. Monitor and control operational budgets, cost efficiency, and inventory management. Lead a team of department managers and ensure effective workforce planning, training, and development. Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations. Analyze production data and generate reports for senior management. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies. Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and internal quality management systems.
