Job Description : ACCOUNTING HEAD BARCELONA SPAIN Role is open to International bi lingual candidates with 18+ years experience You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with company goals, objectives, and policies, as well as internal standards and legal requirements. Lead the accounting department Ensure compliance with company and legal standards Work in a dynamic environment in Barcelona What you'll do: As the Head of Accounting, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of our client's business. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement initiatives that align with the company's overall strategy. You will ensure that all company goals, objectives, and policies are met while adhering to internal standards and legal requirements. A key part of your role will involve ensuring the timely completion of monthly and annual closures for all companies under your purview. Additionally, you will be responsible for fulfilling tax obligations for both Spanish and Portuguese companies. Your role is crucial in guaranteeing the reliability of accounting information, thereby providing a true reflection of the company's financial status. Develop and implement initiatives aligned with the company's strategy Ensure compliance with company goals, objectives, and policies Ensure compliance with internal standards and legal requirements Ensure timely completion of monthly and annual closures for all companies Ensure timely fulfilment of tax obligations for Spanish and Portuguese companies Guarantee the reliability of accounting information What you bring: As the ideal candidate for the Head of Accounting position, you bring a wealth of experience and skills to the table. You have at least three years' experience in similar roles, ideally within medium-sized companies with around 50 million turnover. Your background includes working with auditing companies, preferably those within the Big Four. You hold a university degree in ADE or similar fields or can demonstrate at least ten years' experience as a senior accounting technician. A Master's degree in Business Management would be desirable but not essential. Crucially, you have knowledge of SAP software within the field of accounting. Minimum 3 years experience in similar roles Experience in medium-sized companies with around 50 million turnover Experience in auditing companies, preferably Big Four University degree in ADE or similar or accreditation of minimum 10 years experience in senior accounting technician tasks Master's degree in Business Management (desirable) Knowledge of SAP software in the field of accountin
